All humans make mistakes, and this doesn't exclude those who run large companies. As companies employ more people, there is a greater risk of mistakes and errors. Minority cultures are often neglected and left out of marketing campaigns because they are considered smaller than other groups. It's important to show every group respect and promote inclusivity through your campaign. When a mistake happens, particularly if the blunder is culturally insensitive, the company will certainly want to act fast to assess the situation and right the wrong. A company should never attempt to ignore the problem in hopes it will simply go away. Directly address those hurt, embarrassed, target, or misrepresented. Be sure to add that this was, in fact, a mistake and that it will not happen again. The company must, of course, truly ensure whatever went wrong won't go wrong a second time! Look at the policies in place: what is missing? What can we do better? Make those changes happen and deliver on promises.
