What is Gulliver's first reaction when he awakes from his deep sleep?

After Gulliver's ship, the Antelope, is buffeted by a violent storm, he makes good his escape in a rowboat. Unfortunately, the rowboat capsizes in the choppy waters, and Gulliver is forced to swim ashore for safety. Totally exhausted, he lies down on the grass and falls asleep. When he finally wakes from his long, deep slumber, he's shocked to discover that he's been tied to the ground and cannot move. As his long hair has been tied down, he can't move his head from side to side; he can only look up. And as the sun is shining brightly, he can't see a thing.
Suddenly, Gulliver feels something running across his chest. He looks down and is astonished to see what looks like a tiny version of a human, no more than six inches tall. The next thing he knows, there are dozens of such strange little creatures crawling all over him. Gulliver manages to break free from some of the ropes and gain some movement. Yet his freedom is short-lived, as he's subjected to a violent attack from the little people. Gulliver wisely thinks that it might be best to lie still until nightfall. He doesn't know it yet, but he's arrived in the land of Lilliput.
