What happened that caused Holling's sister, Heather, to tell him '"fix this or you die''?

Holling's becoming more and more of a Shakespeare fan. So much so that he's managed to land the plumb role of Ariel in a high school production of The Tempest. There's a slight drawback, though. As part of his leading role, Holling's required to wear an old-fashioned costume, which includes a blue floral cape and a rather fetching pair of yellow tights with white feathers on the bottom. This is definitely not the kind of get-up a high school boy in 1967 would be expected to wear. The legendary Mickey Mantle's certainly not impressed; he refuses to sign Holling's baseball, because the young man's wearing tights.
The following month, photos of Holling in his full regalia start appearing all over school. A picture of him in his Ariel costume was plastered all over the front page of the Home Town Chronicle, and copies are sprouting up all over school like malignant mushrooms. Doug Swieteck's brother is behind it all. Holling is utterly humiliated. His sister's not best pleased, either; the whole episode reflects badly on her social credibility at school. Heather angrily pulls down as many of the pictures as she can get her hands on. Later on, still utterly incensed, she confronts Holling with a pretty blunt ultimatum:

And now I'm the one who has a baby brother who wears yellow tights . . . "Fix this or you die," she said.
