Describe the Middle East views on globalization

Globalization occurs when organizations begin the process of operating their business and systems on a larger, international scale. This process has a variety of pros and cons and is viewed in both a positive and negative light. How globalization is seen is greatly dependent on the culture being affected.
Many people around the world fully embrace the changes that come with globalization, as it has the potential to positively represent and bring more attention to a culture. However, this is not the belief that everyone holds. 
In the Arabic culture, globalization can be very controversial. Many people in the Middle East, for example, argue that globalization creates a sort of hierarchy of cultures. When this happens, the Western culture is often viewed as dominant over other "lesser" ones. 
Additionally, many people in the Middle East believe that globalization contributes to the downfall of cultural distinctions, religion, and sacred traditions.
