What do you infer from the fact the Curley doesn't stay with the body of his wife? What does this tell you about their relationship

After the body of Curley's wife is found, Slim suggests that Curley should stay with her. Curley, on the other hand, decides against it and says that he will go and find Lennie so that he can "shoot the guts out of" him.
By not staying with the body, we can infer that Curley does not feel a genuine sense of affection towards his wife and that his marriage was not founded on love. If he really felt any love towards his wife, he would want to stay with her body.
Moreover, the fact that Curley's mind jumps to revenge is also significant. It suggests that he wants restitution for his wife's death but, again, not because of the love he felt for her. Instead, it suggests that she was like a possession to him, and now he wants to punish the person who took away his possession.
In addition, his thirst for revenge also suggests that Curley is more concerned with maintaining his reputation among the men than in being with his wife.
Curley, therefore, has no genuine interest in his wife, and this explains why he does not stay with her. For Curley, she was merely an attractive possession.
