RNA or ribonucleic acid and DNA or deoxyribonucleic acid both play a central role in the perpetuation of species.
DNA is a double stranded, long polymer of nucleotide units whose main function is the long term storage of genetic information required for the development and function of living things.
The segment of the DNA responsible for the storage of this genetic information is called the gene, but other structural segments of the DNA play a role in regulating the way the genetic information is expressed.
RNA is similar to DNA but is single stranded. Copies of RNA are transcribed from the stretch of DNA by the action of RNA polymerase enzymes. The transcribed RNA forms the template for translating genetic information into the synthesis of proteins. This process enables genetic information to be accurately copied and transferred to subsequent generations.

Explain the role of RNA and DNA in the continuity of life.
In "Everyday Use" by Alice Walker, how did the mother treat each child differently?
In "Everyday Use", the mother has no choice but to treat her two daughters differently due to the fact that the two girls are very different. The mother is inclined to be protective of Maggie because of her personality and the accident that she had when she was young. She understands that the scar on Maggie’s face had an impact on her self-esteem and confidence.
Mrs. Johnson is not as worried about Dee as she is about Maggie. She believes that Dee can take care of herself. However, she is opposed to Dee’s sense of entitlement and approach to her roots. Mrs. Johnson believes that Dee does not appreciate where she is from and that she despises her family because she is convinced that they are not civilized. Based on her perception, Mrs. Johnson decides to give Maggie the hand-woven quilt because she deserves the inheritance. Her actions demonstrate her fondness and love for Maggie.
Calculus of a Single Variable, Chapter 3, 3.3, Section 3.3, Problem 42
This function is continuous and differentiable on the given interval. It is increasing when f'(x)>0 and decreasing when f'(x)<0. Let's find f'(x).
f(x) = sin(x)*cos(x) + 5 = (1/2)*sin(2x) + 5.
f'(x) = cos(2x).
It is zero at 2x=pi/2+k*pi , or x=pi/4+(k*pi)/2 . There are four such points on (0, 2pi) : pi/4 , (3pi)/4 , (5pi)/4 and (7pi)/4 .
f'(x) is positive on (0, pi/4) , ((3pi)/4 , (5pi)/4 ) and ((7pi)/4, 2pi) , f is increasing on these intervals. f'(x) is negative on (pi/4, (3pi)/4) and ((5pi)/4, (7pi)/4) , f is decreasing on these intervals.
Therefore the relative extrema are pi/4 (maximum), (3pi)/4 (minimum), (5pi)/4 (maximum) and (7pi)/4 (minimum).

Am doing a forum for an epics class and need a comparison of the perspectives of death in Epic of Gilgamesh and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Can you help please?
You should begin your presentation by discussing the respective contexts of the two works. The Epic of Gilgamesh is an ancient Mesopotamian epic that was based on the story of Gilgamesh, a King of Uruk, who ruled sometime between 2800 and 2500 according to Sumerian king lists. The epic was gradually embellished over many centuries from circa 2100 to circa 1200 BC. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is a fourteenth-century romance by an unknown author extant in a single version. A major and important difference between how death is viewed in the two is the different religious backgrounds.
Mesopotamian religion was polytheistic and thus had many different gods. One of the main differences between gods and humans was that gods were immortal and humans were mortal. People with partially divine parentage lived longer than other mortals and had some godlike characteristics, but the gods tended to be jealous of mortals who did not know their place in the world, which was to worship and serve the gods. After death, humans descended into the netherworld, a dark, dismal, and unpleasant place, where they existed as spirits. Although the netherworld was not divided into a heaven and hell—it was neither a place of reward or punishment—it was not particularly pleasant. Thus, we can sympathize with Gilgamesh's desire to avoid death. The outcome of Gilgamesh's quest for immortality illustrates a belief we find in other works of the period, namely, that any quest for immortality is futile and that people should focus on making the best of their current lives.
Gawain and the Green Knight is a Christian poem, filled with Christian imagery. The key difference is that rather than this life being the best one and the netherworld a sort of dim shadow of mortal life, for Christians, this life is preparation and testing for an afterlife in which those who lead good lives are rewarded and those who lead evil lives are punished. Death of the body is not a thing to be avoided. Even if the body dies, the soul is immortal. Thus, the issue in the poem is not a quest for immortality of the body, but testing and training Gawain so that his soul will be able to go to Heaven. There are many images in the poem of Resurrection and testing, suggesting that it is a deeply religious poem meant to impress upon people that Gawain's physical strength is less important than his moral character.

Intermediate Algebra, Chapter 2, 2.4, Section 2.4, Problem 20
Suppose that in a racing event, LaShawn Merritt of USA covers a distance of $400$ meters in $43.75$ seconds.
Recall that the rate or speed is given by $\displaystyle v = \frac{d}{t} = \frac{\rm{distance}}{\rm{time}}$
So, we have
$\displaystyle v = \frac{400}{43.75} = 9.1429$
When rounded off to the nearest hundredth, then the rate in this case is $\displaystyle 9.14 \frac{\rm{m}}{\rm{s}}$
Describe what effect the Kennedy Doctrine had on regional or global affairs since it was announced during the Cold War.
The Kennedy Doctrine was a variant of the earlier Monroe Doctrine in that it defined Latin America as exclusively an American sphere of interest. To that end, the Kennedy Administration endeavored to keep Communism out of Latin America, or at the very least, contain its spread.
The primary effect of the Kennedy Doctrine was to turn Latin America into a major theater of conflict during the Cold War. This was most clearly seen in the Bay of Pigs invasion and the Cuban Missile Crisis. Kennedy and his advisors believed that the Communist Castro regime in Cuba could be removed by force. However, the Bay of Pigs invasion turned out to be a complete fiasco, and its total failure merely served to strengthen the resolve of Cuba to withstand American hostility and aggression. (With the help of the Soviet Union, whose assistance led directly to the Cuban Missile Crisis).
A further effect of the Kennedy Doctrine was that it emboldened all manner of unsavory regimes in Latin America. So long as a particular government was staunchly anti-Communist, it could count on unwavering support from Washington, irrespective of its appalling human rights record. To its credit, the Kennedy Administration did depart from the approach of President Eisenhower by assisting Latin American countries through aid and development. The Alliance for Progress was an attempt to try and alleviate the kind of harsh economic conditions which had often proved a fertile breeding ground for Communism.
However, the more aggressively anti-Communist Kennedy Doctrine undermined the Alliance's goals. The political and social elites of the Latin American regimes supported by Washington were not in the slightest bit interested in implementing serious political and economic reform. They took advantage of the Kennedy Doctrine to enrich themselves and further tighten their grip on power. They knew that when push came to shove, their continued suppression of Communism was much more valuable to the Kennedy Administration than any long-term commitment to domestic change.
The Kennedy Doctrine had a significant impact on regional and world affairs. The Kennedy Doctrine was designed to stop the spread of communism to countries in the Americas and to try to remove it where it already existed. This policy was similar to those policies of previous presidents who were trying to stop the spread of communism.
The Kennedy Doctrine can be seen on display in Cuba. When we realized the Soviets were building missiles sites in Cuba and placing missiles there that had offensive capabilities, we announced the blockade of Cuba. We were not willing to let the Soviet Union threaten the security of the western hemisphere. As a result, we blockaded the coast of Cuba to prevent the Soviets from bringing supplies to Cuba.
President Kennedy also wanted to improve our relations with Latin America. The Alliance for Progress was an economic aid program to help Latin American countries. President Kennedy wanted to improve our poor relations with these countries. He also hoped the aid would strengthen the economies of the Latin American nations, hopefully decreasing the likelihood that they would turn to communism.

What is the most effective/easiest way to learn how to draw professionally?
The answer to this question depends on what you mean by "most effective". If you're thinking in terms of getting the most information about drawing for the least amount of money, then there are plenty of free tutorials on websites such as YouTube designed for various skill levels. However, although this may be the most cost-effective way (and certainly one of the easiest), it isn't necessarily the most effective.
Becoming a professional in any field requires time and dedication. Because art is a learned skill, one of the most effective ways to improve is by taking classes. The real benefit to learning from a teacher in person is that you can receive feedback on your work. Depending on the type of drawing you want to do, an instructor can examine your work, identify your strongest and weakest points, and help you improve. This is the biggest advantage taking classes has over using books and online tutorials.
In the end, it's your decision. Classes are always an option if you want to improve by interacting with a professional. If not, there are hundreds of inexpensive and easily-accessible ways to learn how to draw. It all depends on what is most effective at helping you learn.
Drawing isn't a talent picked up easily. It requires many hours of practise to draw like a professional.
Having the ability to translate and interpret what you see in the drawing is a critical skill. Having the ability to correctly draw tone, line and shape is by far the most difficult to learn, yet most essential key to drawing like a professional. A good way to acquire this skill is to practise lots. It may seem like the obvious way to acquire this skill but it is definitely the most practical.
Materials are also an important factor of how well your drawings quality may be. Find the right pencil for you. You may like a firm pencil or a softer pencil. Your hand will be more relaxed if you have the correct pencil meaning that your mind will be more concentrated, thus giving you a better final result. Paper wise I suggest using smooth bristol. One side is smooth and the other side gives you texture, and there are so many shapes, sizes and colours.
The subject is also a fairly important thing that you should consider when aiming to get a high drawing quality. If you are drawing something you are passionate about it is more likely you will get a higher result. For example I like the look of crotchet notes in music, if I draw these I will get a higher result, but if I drew something I disliked, for example cartoons, I would get a lower result.
There are many other things to think about when learning to draw. A few important ones I suggest thinking about:
Determination
Practise
Time
Have fun drawing and I hope if you are learning to draw that you get the best result possible. Good luck!
By definition, no art pursuit is easy. If art were easy, then it would not be important in our society. Think about it this way: no one thinks that tying one's shoelaces is anything special because most people can do it pretty easily. We enjoy the arts precisely because we know from experience how challenging art can be. We enjoy professional sports for the same reason. It's a joy to watch a talented athlete or look at Da Vinci's drawings.
There is a way in which drawing can feel easy some of the time, however, and that is to have a complete passion for doing it. People who have a passion for their art are much more willing to sit down and do the practicing it takes in order to master that art. They enjoy the process of doing something and then analyzing it to see what they could do better the next time. They love learning about techniques and then drawing and drawing and drawing to perfect those techniques. They spend many of their waking hours thinking about art.
If you feel this way about drawing, take some classes with increasingly talented teachers. Read books about drawing, go to museums to see original art works, peruse the art you cannot get to via books and internet, and practice. Be in it for the long run, and you will definitely improve.
