What are some pros of education in Norway?

The schooling systems of Scandinavian countries produce consistently high levels of student attainment, achievement, knowledge, and employability—and Norway is no exception here. Using UNESCO rankings, we can see that Norway is fourth in the world in terms of the knowledge and skill level of the average student upon graduating from the school system. In terms of employment, Norway has an extremely low level of unemployment in general and is particularly strong at placing those with learning difficulties or disabilities in employment. Norway has a general ethos that nobody should be left behind and has a more inclusive society than many.
Norway, like other Scandinavian countries, has also been praised for waiting longer until students start school. With an enrollment age of six, students are better equipped to be separated from their parents by the time they start school, and this is reflected in general student achievement levels.
Perhaps most significantly, in contrast to the US and many other countries, Norway continues to offer high-quality university-level education without imposing a tuition fee. This means access to higher education comes without the resultant costs of students starting their working lives burdened with debt and anxiety. It also means there is greater social mobility as high-achieving students from poorer families do not need to be put off attending university.
