What happens to Morris Bellamy?

Stephen King's Finders Keepers follows the novel's antagonist, Morris Bellamy, who murders a reclusive author named John Rothstein in hopes to retrieve unpublished and secretive manuscripts. Escaping imprisonment for these murders, Bellamy is eventually arrested for raping a woman and is sentenced to life in prison. After appealing and eventually being released on parole for good behavior, Bellamy goes on the hunt to once again find the manuscripts he had stolen and buried in order to read them.
Meanwhile, the manuscripts are found by a Peter Saubers, whose father—the family's sole breadwinner—is left unable to work. Hoping to raise money for the family to happily live, Peter attempts to sell the manuscripts to a blackmailing bookstore owner.
Eventually, Bellamy becomes aware of Peter's possession of the manuscripts and attempts to kill him in order to retrieve them. After Peter escapes, Bellamy abducts Peter's sister in an attempt to force him to hand over possession of the book. Fortunately, Peter thinks ahead and brings lighter fluid and a lighter, and he is able to set the books on fire. Obsessed with the manuscripts, Bellamy is burned up attempting to salvage the notebooks.
