What superstitions do the children have in connection with the Radley house?

Boo Radley is a figure of local legend, Maycomb's own resident boogie-man. All kinds of myths and stories have attached to his name over the years. For the children of the town, he's an endless source of fascination as well as fear. This isn't surprising when you consider that he's alleged to walk the streets of Maycomb at night, catching and eating wild animals.
Boo tries to reach out to Jem and Scout by leaving them various items in the knothole of a tree. But Jem is horrified; he seems to think that there's some kind of curse on the Radley property; if you so much as touch any part of that property, you're going to die. Worse still, the pecan nuts from the Radleys' tree are rumored to be poisonous; the tree's proximity to the schoolyard makes it all the more dangerous. If anyone should eat any of the nuts from the Radleys' tree, then they'll be poisoned.
