What does Simon convince Daniel to do?

Simon the zealot wants to skip town and follow Jesus. But to do this he'll need to leave behind his smithy, and he's none too keen on the idea. So he comes up with a smart solution to the problem: he's going to ask Daniel to take over his business during his absence. Daniel is somewhat reluctant to do so; apart from anything else, he'll feel trapped having to care for Leah. He wants to be out and about, taking the fight to the Roman occupiers. Daniel is also far from thrilled about needing to serve Roman soldiers, who regularly come into the smithy needing items repaired. The very thought of serving the hated oppressor is enough to turn Daniel's stomach. Nevertheless, he reluctantly accedes to Simon's request and moves into his friend's house with Leah. Not only does he show himself to be quite an able blacksmith, he's also still able to conduct his clandestine revolutionary activities with other young men from the town.
