What records were top 10 hits during the 1930s?

Since the existence of LP albums cannot be traced back much further than the 1950s, it's difficult to make a definitive list of the top-selling records of the 1930s. The recording process and distribution of recorded music was still quite archaic during the 30s, and so there isn't really a written list of which records were the most popular.
That being said, there are certainly particular songs, styles, and musicians that were popular during that era. Swing music exploded in the 1930s, and so composers, like Glenn Miller ("In The Mood", "Moonlight Serenade") and Benny Goodman ("Don't Be That Way", "Sing, Sing, Sing With A Swing") both were quite popular.
African American musicians found great popularity, quite ironically, during this era of segregation and racism. With racial injustice being rampant, female African American musicians such as Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald not only paved the way for the success of minorities, but also performed timely and politically-tinged songs. This can be seen most primarily in Holiday's "Strange Fruit," which depicts the lynched hanging bodies of African Americans; it would later be sampled by Kanye West for his track "Blood on the Leaves" on his 2013 album Yeezus. Other African American musicians, like Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong, helped further popularize jazz music to a wider audience. Songs like "Mood Indigo," "Star Dust," "All Of Me," and "Cocktails For Two" remained widely popular.
Furthermore, show tunes and songs from films, such as "Over The Rainbow," sang by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz, "Putting on the Ritz" performed by Fred Astaire in Putting on the Ritz, and "Cheek to Cheek" performed by Fred Astaire in Top Hat, all were incredibly popular as standalone recordings. The 30s also announced the arrival of many influential and popular artists who were then simply beginning their careers, such as Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra, who, with songs like "All or Nothing At All" and "Silent Night" only suggested what their later careers would bring.
