What are some likely crimes of the future, and will they be different from crimes of today?

I believe that in the future, we will see more crime associated with the internet. Typically, technology outpaces the law. In the late 1990's, Napster was the rage with young people as it allowed for the free exchange of music. Their service circumvented the US copyright laws, and new laws had to be written to "catch up" with the new technology. The website and service was shut down and offenders prosecuted. Just as the advances of the Industrial Revolution brought about the necessity for more laws regulating practices in the workplace and to preserve the environment, laws will be write to help regulate the internet. Whether it is in regards to the use of cryptocurrency or laws protecting the privacy of individuals, the legal system will continue to create laws in response to the current needs of the people.

Crime has always been in existence and in a realists point of view will always be.
We may be unsure what the future holds exactly but looking at the present trends with a combination of new technology (and weapons) its sad to think that it will be a lot easier to commit crime in the future.
It is suspected that future crimes will be no different from today's only done more carefully. Organized crime rate has increased over the years and as the world develops, there are many professional criminals in training.
Future crimes will therefore include anything that's social media or internet related (cyber crime), identity theft, drug dealing, money laundering, wiring money/bit coin , hiring murders, rape, theft etc.
Crime changes with environment and so criminals will develop new ways of conducting crime no doubt. The end game is making sure not to get caught. This in turn will give the law and police a lot of revising to do on how to catch these catch these criminals.

While it is hard to predict the future of crime, one can judge that crime will involve taking something from someone or doing someone harm. Criminals have nearly always sought power or control over a victim, and this will not change in the future. The stealing of corporate and personal data will continue to be a theme in crime. With the internet, it is possible to rob a bank from the comfort of one's own home. With new self-driving cars, it may be possible to steal one or even orchestrate someone's death in a car accident all while never seeing the victim. Murders, rapes, and the selling of banned substances will continue to dominate the crime scene as these do not involve sophisticated technology or training. Vandalism and assault will as well, though charges of vandalism may spread into the digital world as people and corporations seek to protect their reputations from anonymous attacks.
